Healthcare Association of Hawaii Honors Chrissy Miller, RN, as a 2021 Hawaii Healthcare Hero
Congratulations to Chrissy Miller, Maui Health's Employee Health Manager and COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Manager, and 2021 recipient of the prestigious Healthcare Association of Hawaii's (HAH) Healthcare Hero Leadership Award!
Chrissy was nominated for going above and beyond in her role as Employee Health Manager during the pandemic to make a difference in so many lives both among our own employees and for tens of thousands of our community members on Maui and Lanai. She led her incredible employee health and vaccine clinic teams to provide over 77,000 COVID vaccinations (and counting!) and was instrumental in opening vaccine satellite clinics around Maui and Lanai.
Throughout 2020, Chrissy and her team traveled to Lanai multiple times to provide COVID-19 vaccines to the small rural island community, and also helped to set up onsite clinics at some of our largest hotels and resorts to help educate and vaccinate as many frontline hotel and hospitality workers as possible.
