Hometown Hero - Shelly Brown
Hometown Hero Week 11 Winner - Shelly Brown
Congratulations to our Hometown Hero week 11 winner, Shelly Brown! Shelly was nominated for being the epitome of selflessness during this time. She continues to help victims of abuse through her work at Maui Family Support Services and assists the County of Maui with census data everyday after work. On her weekends, she cooks for nurses at the hospital, providing nutritious and delicious meals for staff in the COVID-19 unit. She also volunteers monthly at "Food Not Bombs" each month to feed the hungry. Anytime a restaurant reaches out for business, she is the first person on the reservation list that evening. The list goes on! Her caring and compassion are truly second to none.
Thank you Shelly for the dedication you have shown to our community. Through your generosity and selfless acts of giving we are reminded of the importance of compassion for others and that true aloha spirit lives on in Maui County, even through the toughest times. You are a real life hero and we are forever grateful.
