Hometown Hero Week 26 Winner - Jennifer Oberg
Congratulations to our Hometown Hero week 26 winner, Jennifer Oberg! Jennifer, a wedding gown designer and master dressmaker spearheaded a medical grade mask making project earlier this year distributing 10,000 masks to health care workers, doctors, dentists, first responders throughout Maui. Later transforming into a "sewing hui" that now makes fabric masks for schools, benefiting both teachers and students. The masks are free of charge. Donations help to provide the volunteers with lunch.
Thank you Jennifer for the dedication you have shown to our community. Through your selfless acts of giving we are reminded of the importance of compassion for others and that true aloha spirit lives on in Maui County, even through the toughest times. You are a real life hero and we are forever grateful.
