Hometown Hero Week 5 Winner - Aunty Kamiki Carter
Congratulations to our week 5 Hometown Hero winner, Kamiki Carter! Aunty Kamiki began distributing hundreds of masks and then went on to organize food relief for many families struggling with finances and unemployment, doing weekly food delivery since March. Working day in and day out to literal exhaustion, she still manages to keep going. Many people and families have been blessed because of her generosity. She is a beacon of light, goodness, and hope during this incredibly challenging time and also has a wonderful family that fully supports all that she does.
Thank you Aunty Kamiki for the dedication you have shown to our community. Through your generosity and selfless acts of giving we are reminded of the importance of compassion for others and that true aloha spirit lives on in Maui County, even through the toughest times. You are a real life hero and we are forever grateful.
