Maui Health Now Providing COVID-19 Vaccinations For Children Ages 6 Months Through 5 Years Old
On June 18, 2022, the Centers for Disease Control released its recommendation that all children 6 months through 5 years of age should receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
Parents and caregivers can now get their children 6 months through 5 years of age vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines to better protect them from COVID-19.
“We learned that there would be limited availability on Maui for vaccinating our youngest age group, so we knew it was important that we make this available in our clinic,” said Maui Health CEO Mike Rembis. “We took some time to consult with our medical staff including community pediatricians, and train our clinic staff, and we are now ready and excited to provide COVID-19 vaccines to those who qualify ages 6 months and older.”
Parents are strongly encouraged to make an appointment and complete the preregistration process prior to visit. Appointments can be made via VAMS at https://vams.cdc.gov.
