Nan Parks Kocourek and Wayne Kocourek
In the more than 40 years she has been part of the Maui community, Nan Parks Kocourek has seen a lot of changes at Maui Memorial Medical Center.
For years, the part-time Maui resident sought medical care from her personal provider in Los Angeles. Now, she's excited that she can stay on the island for her care because she's seen Maui Memorial evolve into a top-quality hospital. Its investments in technology, new systems, and staff have bolstered her confidence in the hospital and its capabilities.
"We're thrilled to be getting new, wonderful doctors, and the transformation of the hospital is amazing," she says. "We're blessed we can help it grow financially."
Nan and Wayne have previously supported Maui Memorial's cardiac care unit, and recently made a donation to the hospital's neurology program.
Nan believes it's important to invest in specialty care on the island. "Whether you're a full-time resident, a part-time resident, or a visitor," she says, "when you're in paradise, you ought to feel confident that you have top medical care right here on Maui!"
