Beginning December 17, 2022, Maui Health will no longer offer monoclonal antibody treatment (mAb) and pre-exposure prophylaxis for COVID-19 due to wide availability of alternative treatments. Please contact your healthcare provider to discuss available treatment options.
Maui Health is offering outpatient treatment of COVID-19 positive individuals with mild-moderate disease, who do not require hospitalization. Please fill out the treatment referral form below.
Oral antiviral therapy is a new, convenient way to treat COVID-19 infection in the community. Monoclonal antibody treatment (mAb) is a form of immunotherapy to fight viral infections. Both options are available under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to help reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalization from COVID-19.
Treatment is indicated for older individuals (65+), as well as younger patients with risk factors, regardless of their vaccination status. COVID-19 treatment is coordinated by the Maui Health COVID clinic, which accepts referrals from community physicians, as well as self-referrals using the COVID Treatment Referral Form available below.
Submit the COVID-19 Treatment Referral form and you will receive notification to let you know if you qualify.
If you qualify, a provider will contact you for a phone assessment and schedule your appointment. All requests must be submitted via online form.
