Nominated for Outstanding Nonprofit at Mayor's Small Business Awards
Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation was honored to be one of the 2018 nominees for "Outstanding Nonprofit" at the annual Mayor's Small Business Awards. The Awards recognize outstanding businesses in our community that have fewer than 100 employees and who have been operating for at least two years.
Other criteria used in selecting nominees included innovation and investment that enhances a particular economic sector or area of Maui County, creating a quality work environment for their employees, exhibiting the Aloha Spirit and exemplary customer service, and developing partnerships to enhance community services and community life.
Foundation staff and Board members attended the Awards Dinner on March 9, hosted by the Mayor's Office of Economic Development and the Maui Chamber of Commerce. We were happy to congratulate the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center who was the winner in the nonprofit category. A special mahalo to our Queen Ka'ahumanu Center partner Toni Rojas, who nominated us!
