Kokua for a cause
Breast cancer ranks second as a cause of cancer death in women. One in eight women in the United States develop breast cancer. In 2019, there were an estimated 1,280 new cases of breast cancer, and 160 women died of the disease.
That is why Maui Health Foundation is dedicated to our mission to support the health and wellness of our community by providing lifesaving breast cancer screenings to the uninsured or underinsured women of Maui.
Since 2005, Maui Health Foundation has helped nearly 1,160 women on Maui, providing over $404,675 in screenings through our Breast Cancer Screening Program. We would not have been able to do this without the continued, generous support of our community, and that is why it is so important to continue to raise funds for this very important cause.
In 2021, we launched our online fundraising campaign which helped us raise over $80,000. Information for our 2022 fundraiser is available here.
