Q: Can my teenage son come with me to visit a relative in the hospital?

We understand the important role that loved ones play in our patients’ healing journey and are happy to welcome visitors to our hospital. Yes, Maui Memorial Medical Center’s (MMMC) current visitor policy allows children to visit most units, with some exceptions. All children 13 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the hospital. The accompanying adult must not be the patient. General visiting hours are 6 am – 8 pm, Monday through Sunday. Some units may have different hours or additional restrictions or exceptions including units such as Obstetrics, Labor & Delivery, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health and Intensive/Critical Care (ICU/CCU). Additionally, visitors must abide by all visitor guidelines which can be found at www.mauihealth.org/visitor. If you or a loved one is a patient at MMMC, please work with one of the unit nurses or the unit’s nurse manager to answer any questions you may have about hospital visitation. MMMC now also provides complimentary valet parking at both visitor entrances (main lobby and ER).
