Q: Is my appointment at MMMC going to be cancelled because of the current strike?
Maui Health is working closely with community providers to review scheduled outpatient elective or non-urgent procedures to ensure we are safely managing the needs of our patients and maintaining appropriate staffing levels. Some providers may choose to reschedule non-urgent procedures. Patients who have questions about a scheduled procedure should contact their physician providers for more information.
Please do not let strike activities deter you from accessing emergency care. Maui Health’s emergency departments at Maui Memorial Medical Center, Kula Hospital and Lanai Community Hospital are available 24/7 to provide care. Safety measures have been put in place to ensure all entrances to our hospitals and facilities remain open and accessible. We are advising both employees and patients to allow extra time to access our facilities, due to the additional strike activity surrounding entrances. We appreciate our communities support and patience.
