Did you know that obesity affects one-quarter of Maui residents? If you feel that your weight is holding you back from living the life you deserve, you're not alone!

Obesity has Multiple Causes
Obesity is a multifactorial disease with multiple causes. It is caused by several hormone abnormalities that often combine with lifestyle issues to create a condition of abnormal, increased fat storage.

Fat is Not the Disease
The fat is not the disease – it is a sign of the disease. Just like a rash is a sign of chicken pox.

Obesity Causes Other Diseases
Obesity has numerous negative consequences. People who have obesity suffer from multiple other diseases that are caused by hormone abnormalities and stored excess fat.

Midpacific Surgical Specialists bariatric surgery program provides comprehensive support including preoperative evaluation, preparation, surgery, coaching, and dietary counseling. It also includes vital post-operative follow up including access to the Baritastic App to journal and report your workouts, diet, water intake, and more. Our goal is to help you achieve the psychological and physical transformational changes that you need to become strong, healthy, and successful. On average, our patients lose 66% of their excess weight in the first year. We also assist in the coordination with your primary care provider as well as navigating through insurance approval. No other program goes farther to provide the tools that you need for long term success.
