Care Experience Department

Maui Health wants your experience with us to be a positive one. That is why we have a Care Experience Department.

Led by a patient advocate, this team is available to help resolve concerns, gather feedback and improve hospital and clinic processes as needed. We work with the quality management team to provide resolutions regarding quality of care, as well as gather and share information from patient HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) surveys.

The care experience team also:

  • Partners with Maui Health's nursing staff to help resolve patient concerns immediately.
  • Works with auxiliary volunteers and nutrition services to provide comfort carts to families during a time of hardship and grief.
  • Oversees language access services to ensure that appropriate services are provided to patients who speak limited English.

The Care Experience Department prides itself on responding in a timely manner and providing help as needed to ensure all patients feel they are treated with respect and dignity.
